KISMET one to one hundred

October 13 to 22, 2011

A Chop Theatre Production presented by Presentation House Theatre

In the spring of 2009, four artists set out across Canada to interview 100 people – aged one through 100 – to find out what they believed about kismet – the concept/notion/belief of fate and destiny. What they discovered on the road – a myriad of personal stories of mystery, joy and endurance – became an anchor for a fascinating and intimate show that blends candid interviews with the experience of the travelers.

KISMET was nominated for the Critics’ Choice Innovation Award at the 2010 Jessie Richardson Awards and comes to the North Shore hot on the heels of the Magnetic North Theatre Festival in Ottawa. In 2012 KISMET will head to Victoria’s Belfry Theatre and the Richmond Gateway.
