A theatre wrede+ production (Germany) presented by Presentation House Theatre

Welcome littlest theatre-goers! Enter the magical realm of sound, movement and imagination through the universal language of music. Created especially for very young audiences aged 2+.

A dancer and a musician set off on an adventure. Clapping, slinking, snapping, skipping, on tip-toe they play – until feet don’t meet the ground and one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing. Suddenly sounds move and movements are heard in joyful poetry-in-motion.

Hands and Feet is a playful example of “composed theatre”, where space, acting, sound, music and movement weave together to form one unique composition. Gestures and movements of everyday life, from children’s games, dance-theatre and human interaction, flow from small sensory units into a fan of motions that everyone can follow.

What will very young audiences take away from Hands and Feet?

“A fascination for live theatre,” says Winfried Wrede, performer and company artistic director. “We hope they see themselves in our characters and experience the joy of exploring and being curious, of being themselves.”
