Presentation House Theatre has grown from a rental facility to a self-producing professional theatre company focused on reaching our community and supporting Canadian talent. We strive to make some of the country’s top actors, writers, directors and designers accessible to the North Shore.

We have always had, and will continue to have a commitment to culturally diverse programming and community involvement through volunteer programs, affordable ticket pricing and our much loved ‘Pay if You Loved It’ shows.

Your donations ensure Presentation House Theatre continues to bring all kinds of shows to all kinds of people.

How will donations be used?

As a not-for-profit organization every penny we make goes back into the theatre to support our programming through artist fees and production costs. A very small portion of our budget comes from ticket sales, and we are grateful to our supporters to help us operate. We rely on our sponsors and donors to bring the very best in Canadian talent to our stage. Donor support also helps us take risks on new companies and performers to help inspire new generations of talent and grow the arts culture in the Lower Mainland.

What if I want to know exactly how my donation will be used?

PHT does have specific campaigns directed towards specific projects or causes. Below are two current campaigns with specific purpose.

Fill The House!

Help us get more people out to the theatre! Fill the House is a fundraising campaign where proceeds go towards our education program, children and family programming and help subsidize tickets for community groups and families who would otherwise be unable to come to our shows. PHT feels that professional theatre should be available to all people, and this fund has been especially set up to help make that happen.

To support the campaign, donations can be made by mail, in person or over the phone or through our online system here.

The Brenda Leadlay Legacy Fund

Brenda Leadley, Artistic Director of Presentation House Theatre from 2004 to 2011 is an inspiration to the artistic community in the lower mainland and is known for her strong arts advocacy and support of Canadian talent. The Board of Presentation House Theatre wishes to recognize her forceful presence and unwavering support of the arts with a legacy piece; an award recognizing a theatre professional who is an exceptional artistic talent committed to arts advocacy and the creation of innovative theatre work.

Donations to the Legacy Fund can be made through calling the PHT office.

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes. A tax receipt will be issued by email when approved.
