A fusion of stand-up comedy and storytelling, Fat Joke unapologetically thrusts fatphobia into the spotlight. Comedian, actor, and writer Cheyenne Rouleau’s razor-sharp wit will surgically dissect everything you think you know about bodies, diet culture, and what it means to feel sexy and powerful in your own skin.

SHOW ADVISORY: Please note that this show contains significant discussion of fatphobia and diet culture. Additionally, it contains sensitive themes, mentions of abortions, complicated pregnancies, slavery, eugenics, racism, systemic oppression, and sexual assault. And it’s really funny. Promise.
For Fat Joke, we want to create a theatre experience that is joyful and dignified and oh so comfy for fat folks. With that in mind, we have ensured that there are a variety of seating options for a variety of different bodies at the show.
This includes:
- 12 Large Armless Chairs (up to 1000lbs): 23.5 inches (deep) x 31.25 inches (wide) x 17.5 inches (height). No armrests.
- Regular Theatre Seats: 18 inches (deep) x 19.5 inches between armrests (wide) x 20 inches (height).
