Isabel Gordon is the new voice – some would say a long overdue voice – in Canadian poetry. In this, her debut collection, she lays the blame for the world’s ills at the feet of the boomers, of which she herself is one. And didn’t it all start off with such high hopes?! Perhaps too ‘high’ now we look back with the benefit of hindsight.
