Technical Facilities Manager

The Technical Facilities Manager is the lynchpin of Presentation House Theatre’s venue, acting as the touchpoint for renters, artists and staff on all matters relating to the building. Reporting directly to the Artistic Managing Director, the Technical Facilities Manager is responsible for the smooth operations of all facilities and equipment, managing rentals, overseeing part time and casual technical staff and supporting core artistic activity by creating a welcoming, safe and artistically productive environment for all users. This is an ideal position for a candidate who is self-motivated, excited by a varied role that requires a diverse skillset and is inspired by the opportunity to be an advocate for the Presentation House Arts Centre.

Eligibility:

  • Experience in venue management, rentals or production management;
  • Working knowledge theatre equipment including lighting, sound and projection equipment;
  • A passion for supporting artistic creation with technical expertise and care for artists and their work; 
  • Strong leadership and management skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Self-motivated with a high capacity for collaboration.

Call for North Shore Designers

Presentation House Theatre would like to get to know the artists in our community! If you are a Designer or Stage Manager for Theatre, Dance or Opera located on the North Shore, we want to meet you!

To book a one-on-one in-person meeting with Artistic Managing Director, Keltie Forsyth, please select a time through our Sign-Up Genius here. Meetings will be 30 minutes and take place at Presentation House Arts Centre at 333 Chesterfield Avenue. Once you have selected a time, you will be contacted with more details. Please email submissions@phtheatre.org if you have any issues with the form.

At this time, we ask that you ONLY submit if you are based on the North Shore and are a Designer and/or Stage Manager. If you are an actor, playwright, director or other artist, please keep an eye out for any future calls on our website or sign up for our e-newsletter.

Education Coordinator

The Education Program Coordinator will work closely with the Company Manager and Marketing Coordinator to design and run Presentation House Theatre’s youth education programming in summer of 2026, as well as plan for and launch outreach for the 2026-2027 season programming.

Eligibility:
This position is subject to funding through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be considered for this position, applicants must be between 15-30 years of age at the start of employment; be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and have a valid SIN at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant provides hands-on experience in theatre management across key areas.

Over the summer, they will assist with managing our Box Office and Community Engagement initiatives, and supporting the staff in preparation for the upcoming 2026/2027 season. Primarily, they will have the chance to collaborate and lead the planning for our 50th season celebration.

This position requires the successful candidate to be on site and in the office 4 days a week reporting directly to the Operations Manager, and the Managing Artistic Director.
