Following a dire cancer prognosis, a married woman matches up her lonely husband with her best friend before heading off for risky treatment in Mexico, not expecting to return. Off the Page
Originally inspired by playwright David King, Off the Page is a play reading series first held at the historic Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons BC in 2017. Actors read plays written by Lower Mainland playwrights who attend the reading. Together with the cast, they open the floor to audience members for questions and comments in post-show talkback sessions. After three years of enthusiastic response from audiences, actors and playwrights, producers Wanda Nowicki and Janet Hodgkinson feel confident that expansion to Presentation House Theatre is a good move!
