A Play Reading of Lowest Common Denominator by award-winning writer, Dave Deveau. Presented by Off the Page in association with the PHT Creative Hub Co-operative.
Harmony is trying to get back on her feet post-divorce. She ends up on a blissful, booze-filled date with Peter, an insurance salesman. But when she walks in on her seventeen-year-old son Trevor kissing him it unleashes something powerful and sacred in her. Their three lives are set in motion – perpetually intertwined. Lowest Common Denominator is “a touching and honest slice of modern life that needs to be seen” (Vancity Buzz), by “one of Vancouver’s finest playwrights and one of our country’s finest gay writers.” (Vancouver Presents). Featuring:
- Jarred Stephen Meek as TREVOR
- Nelson Wong as PETER
- Janet Hodgkinson as HARMONY

Originally inspired by playwright David King, Off the Page is a play reading series first held at the historic Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons BC in 2017. Actors read plays written by Lower Mainland playwrights who attend the reading. Together with the cast, they open the floor to audience members for questions and comments in post-show talkback sessions. After three years of enthusiastic response from audiences, actors and playwrights, producers Wanda Nowicki and Janet Hodgkinson feel confident that expansion to Presentation House Theatre is a good move!
Produced with the co-operation of the UBCP/ACTRA
